//post-release patch 4

changelog:
- fixed longstanding bug with mac and linux versions not working at all which stemmed from my build script being broken. if you have been getting errors about mscorlib.dll, that problem should be fixed now.
- added option to invert the y-axis, for all the perverts out there.
this patch was surprisingly a nightmare to put out. there was a bizarre bug where the player would fall super slowly and sometimes just float up into the air slowly forever, which ultimately stemmed from unity somehow wiping all of my custom layers and the way that the game detects collisions with spikes. apologies to anyone who sent me a support request about the mac/linux dll bug over the past few months, i incorrectly assumed that it would be really difficult to solve but it turned out to be a simple fix.
huge thanks to noiob, jo, blackle, gdkar, and ari for helping me test the mac and linux versions.

hi, i really like this game, i have spent hours in this and had alot of fun. its simplicity drives an itch to write my own take on this… no pun intended.
but, i found a couple points a tiny bit weird/annoying: when shooting downwards, i think the shots hit your own hitbox and you cant jump-hover above enemies and snipe them from there. i can imagine it’s not quite the gentleman thing to do, shooting down at your enemies in a deep pit.
the other thing is when you run over enemy corpses, did you want us to run over them actually? because that causes us to run (down the slope of the corpse of a triangle or whatever) into the red spiked ground
anyhow, i really love the simplicity here and it’s perfect for the odd winter evening of arcade fun
Does this game have any prerequisites that I need to have installed? I can't seem to run it without it immediately crashing.
Hello. i'm here just for a quick comment, the r key always restart the game, and i sometimes press that button for reflex of other games.
it should be disable while in gameplay and be a menu option.
Thanks for Linux build. Was pretty enjoyable.
I picked up this game from the Racial Justice and Equality bundle, and I must say, it reminds me a lot of quake, which is a huge compliment considering I absolutely adore quake. However, there is one quirk that irks me to no end, and that's fire rate is linked to your FPS. I know a tiny amount of Unity, including that some things have the options to be linked to FPS, and I am hoping that you could somehow un-link it, as every time some random app of mine decides to update itself, my firing rate drops.
oh yeah that should be an easy fix, i'll look into it!
Hi! I picked this game up as a part of the BLM bundle. Thank you for including it there it is a treat to play it!
I was wondering, is it intentional that you can jump "out" of the level. I found that it is possible to quickly "skip" to the level ending portals if you do that and slide along the walls.
yep, completely intentional.
I noticed that too lol, makes me think this game could be really popular with speedrunners once it finally gets out there.
I like this game! The combat is really fun and dynamic and I quite enjoy both the machine gun and the railgun. A small bug though. When you kill an enemy from above, sometimes the little green pellets will hurt you. This is more easily seen with the railgun, as you can snipe from a long distance away from it.
ah i bet that has something to do with the layers thing. i'll look into it tomorrow. thanks for the heads up!
